Port-Au-Prince could receive first cruise ship visit in 25 years


Port-Au-Prince authorities are hoping that a planned cruise ship visit by a Praisefest charter will go ahead. It is 25 years since the capital city of Haiti received a cruise ship and Praisefest, who operate full ship charters that combine tourism with volunteer work are hoping to make history and help with the ongoing rebuilding after the earthquake that hit the city some years ago...

Would a cruise to Port-au-Prince interest you?

While not interested in a port stop at Haiti myself I think it would give the town a big boost and much needed after the earthquakes devastations.


It would help their economy, but I would think it would be more practical with a smaller ship first. Do they have docking facilities ? Would passengers be confined to a certain area ? Would they be part of a programmed tour ?
