It is going to be interesting to see what happens when she gets there.

Star Cruises operate the cruise terminal but she could anchor off the port.

She sailed from Sembawang 20th now in malacca Strait eta langkawi Monday morning, she is only doing 7 kn thus in no hurry to get there. Possibly she will lay up there as they (Starcruises) ,have no ships regularly calling there at present.

AIS ship position maps tonight are is showing the Norwegian Dream back at the Sembawang shipyard.

The best speed she made, when out for a run, was 11.9 knots so it looks as if she might still have mechanical problems ! :hoh:

She is not in any of the anchorages thus from your info and AIS she is back at the dockyard on the other side of the island.

Norwegian Dream is showing on a couple of the AIS websites I use as being at the shipyard again tonight.

I am starting to wonder if she is ever likely to be used by Star Cruises, or anybody else, and what problems there are with the ship.

It certainly looks as if the decision of Louis Cruises not to buy her was correct.

The AIS ship position maps are showing Norwegian Dream still at Sembawang on Saturday morning, 27th August 2011.

The AIS tranmission from the ship is showing that she should have been at Singapore EBouy on the 22nd August 2011 !

Refer to the Cruise Industry News article and Genting's 1H report, a filing from Genting noted a “settlement of US$13.3 million in relation to the non-completion by Louis Plc. of the sale and purchase contract for Norwegian Dream.”

The article is titled 'Star and Louis Settle Norwegian Dream Dispute'

Hi starcruises

Looks as if you have been sleeping ! :hoh:

This is old news that was reported on this forum earlier this year !

The money paid was an agreed settlement paid by Louis Cruises for not going ahead with the previously agreed contract to purchase the Norwegian Dream !

There was reports that Louis Cruises were not happy with the mechanical condition of the ship !

With the Norwegian Dream still at the Sembawang shipyard today, and having been in the Singapore area since the 26th May 2011, it now looks as if there could be serious problems with the ship which are requiring a lot of work !

On Wednesday 7th September 2011 it will be 14 weeks she has been there !
