It can be a bit of a journey
We went to Belize in May 2005 on the Valor, and there is a much longer journey from ship to shore. The ships anchor 5 miles offshore, and the tender takes 12 minutes to get to shore. In Grand Cayman, the ships anchor much closer to shore, so it takes about 4 minutes to get there.
