Formerly known as Grand Latino and owned by Grand Latino de Navegacion S.A. of Spain, Boudicca came into service with Fred. Olsen in February 2006, and is named after the Iceni Warrior Queen. The 28,388 ton vessel, with a capacity of 837 lower berths, was originally built as Royal Viking Sky, and is a sister ship to the company's very successful Black Watch.

Her décor will reflect those historic times and will also have an 'Englishness' to contrast with the 'Scottishness' of her sister ship Black Watch; with similar spacious layouts and stylish interiors, and generously sized cabins. Each public room, lounge and restaurant will be designed to ensure the mood is in keeping with other ships in the fleet.
