Balmoral Specifications & Profile...

Ally

Deckhand
Currently this ship is in service under charter agreement with NCL (Norwegian Crown), however from November 2007 she will be refitted and introduced to the Olsen line for her maiden cruise in 2008.

Full details of her new look will be added as and when they are made public, which should be in the next few weeks or so.

An artists impression (below) has been released. She will be returning to her former guise (Crown Odyssey) in many ways, along with added balcony cabins and other significant changes internally. Most noticeable of all is the removal of the huge leisure center that NCL added above her bridge, thus putting her back to how she was with loads of open deck area...

To give an idea of what will be gone after the refit, here are two photos of the ship in past guise and present guise.

The main area of change, visually, will be the removal of the huge superstructure above the bridge...currently a fitness/spa. The new fitness area will be relocated within the ship on the Lido deck, close to where it was originally, however there are doubts that the indoor pool will be put back...that still to be confirmed.
