Aegean Pearl
Hi
Aegean Pearl arrived at the port of Syros last night about 19.30 hrs. and was still there at 11.30 hrs local time today ! This port is not shown as a port of call on the website listings for the four day Golden Star cruises. The port does have ship repair facilities though ! No reports have so far been found about the ship being damaged after being hit by the Pullmantur Cruises ship ' Zenith '. ( Photo of Zenith below ) Neil |

Found this article ekathimerini.com | Ferry jolts blamed on poor ports
Does say that Aegean Pearl had minor damage so could explain their current position.

Aegean Pearl At Syros
Hi
As the report says that a lifeboat was damaged this looks like a repeat of what happened to Ocean Majesty when she was hit by the larger Thompson Cruises ship in the fjords. Aegean Pearl could therefore be at Syros for repairs to the lifeboat, or a replacement to be supplied if it is possible, or maybe repairs to the davits which contain the lifeboats. Assuming she will only be there for the one day I wonder if she was allowed to sail with her passengers still on board. Neil |
