Fort Lauderdale-based Discovery World Cruises will change its name to Voyages of Discovery, in line with its counterparts in other countries. The company markets the 650-passenger Discovery to customers in the United States and Canada.

It is a division of UK-based All Leisure Group, which markets the ship under the Voyages of Discovery brand in the United Kingdom, Australasia and South Africa.

‘This is a long-planned step following our acquisition in 2005 by All Leisure Group,’ said Mark Flager, vp sales, marketing and passenger services. ‘We’ll now be recognized as one brand worldwide.’

The name change will be immediately reflected in the Summer 2008 catalog, said Flager, with online changes to follow shortly.
