Discovery musical themed cruises announced
Discovery World Cruises will host its first classical music theme on the May 13 ‘Baltic Treasures’ itinerary. Rates start at $2,850 and the company is promoting the sailing in North America with free air from major East Coast cities.
Host and main presenter will be Simon Calder, a personality on Britain’s Classic FM radio station and host of ‘Classic Journeys.’ He is also the host of BBC’s ‘Flagship Travel’ television program.
The performers will include acclaimed British pianist Anthony Goldstone and Colin Bradbury, principal clarinet for the BBC Symphony Orchestra for more than 30 years.
The program begins with two hotel nights in London before passengers embark Discovery in Harwich for an 11-night cruise to ports including Warnemünde, Tallinn, Gydnia and Kosor (Denmark), with an overnight in St. Petersburg.
