Maiden calls dot Voyages of Discovery routes

Voyages of Discovery’s North American office this week launches its ‘World of Discovery 2008/09’ winter voyages brochure, featuring 24 inaugural calls.

Bookings made before March 15 will receive an additional 5% discount on published early booking fares.

New destinations for 2009 include South Africa and the Indian Ocean, Madagascar, Mozambique, Mumbai and Goa. A selection of ‘Grand Voyages’ – combination cruises that offer extra value – also are a feature of the brochure.

Maiden calls include Tristan da Cunha; Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, East London, Durban and Richards Bay, South Africa; Maputo, Mozambique; Tulear and Antsiranana, Madagascar; Port Victoria and Praslin, Seychelle Islands; Muscat and Salalah, Oman; Aden and Hodeidah, Yemen; and Latakia, Syria.

Prices for the new 16-night ‘South Africa and the Indian Ocean’ voyage, departing Feb. 27, 2009, start at $3,995. A 22-night ‘Cape to Cape’ itinerary is priced from $4,550 and departs Feb. 7, 2009.
