Departing April 3, the Discovery will begin an 11-night ‘Amazon Adventure’ from Montego Bay that sails to Manaus with stops at Curaçao, Tobago, Santarem and Boca da Valeria. Continuing on from Manaus, passengers can add two Brazilian ports (Parintins and Alter do Chao) and a string of Caribbean islands for a total of 23 nights on the ‘Amazon Discovery’ cruise.

The segment from Manaus to Barbados also is available as a separate 13-night ‘Amazon and Caribbean’ voyage. VoD is promoting the three departures on the U.S. market with free air from New York or Miami and low air add-ons, from $95 to $245, available from other gateways.

Tours focus on Amazon flora and fauna, survival techniques in the rain forest with a specialist from the Brazilian army and an evening alligator-spotting excursion by canoe.

Included excursions to the Galápagos Islands are featured on a 26-night cruisetour from Santiago to Quito departing Feb. 21, and a 12-night sailing from Quito to Costa Rica departing March 14. The Feb. 21 cruise provides an alternate conclusion, a five-night overland package visiting Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu, for a 23-night package.
