Have to admit I tend to pack late. Did you get any information on ships tours with the tickets ?, last time I looked on Thomson site they did not have any info. On saying that when I did Red Sea in February they gave us the information when we got on the plane at Manchester.

we were lucky to get the tickets at all - apparently a lady phoned thompsons up to say she had our tickets! luckily she did this cos it could have caused problems!

no, we didnt get any details of the trips but to be honest we are a bit limited on what we can do cos i have to use a wheelchair to get around (i have m.e.). we tend to just have a stroll around the town, although, saying that, we did visit pisa when we did the med cruise. we normally arrange our own taxis when we get to the port - this is easier than going on an organised trip which normally isnt geared up for peeps in wheelchairs!

would love to go on a red sea cruise but i think i would need to have immunisations (which i try to avoid) - did you find this? did you get an opportunity to swim whilst you were there - the seas are supposed to be some of the best for diving in the world arent they.

We also tend to do a lot of trips ourselves, but like the occasional tour.

Regarding the Red Sea we didn't need any jabs. Can't remember exactly will have to find paperwork, but think only thing is something to do with yellow fever but only if you come from a country with yellow fever which sure we aint got here.
There were several tours to seaside places for swimming will have to look them out.

Just looking at the ports of call. Quite fancy a trip to the Necromanteion when in Parga.

The ship does a tour necromantieon and river Acheron. Says slightly unusual tour.
Could be spooky as Acheron in Greek myth is the river Styx, whilst the necromantieon was thought to be the entrance to hades.

we will certainly have a look at the trips to see if there is anything suitable middy. i would like to look round parga as it sounds interesting but depends on the hills - hubby moans for some reason if he has to push me up more than a slight slope (legs it in other direction in case he reads this!!!).

hubbys packed his stuff and now hes going to pack mine and there will be the usual 'do you need ALL this stuff whine!'. hmmmm. thinking along those lines, will just nip up and put another couple of unnecessary items amongst the stuff so i can say begrudgingly - okay well perhaps i COULD do without these - cunning eh!

mind you, due to brainfog one year i ended up on the cruise with three or four sparkly evening tops and NO t shirts for daytime except the one on my back aaaaaaaaaaaagh. id forgotten to pack them so i dont moan now if i see him casting an eye over my stuff!

well, in 24 hours we will be sitting at the airport waiting to board our flight - am suffering from a mixture of excitement, relief (that we are able to go at all cos my m-i-l died just over a week ago - oooh no that sounds all wrong - what i mean is relief cos hubbys brother has agreed to postpone the funeral till after our hols) and a little sprinkling of concern (which shouldnt really be there should it!) due to some of the bad reviews of the ship!)

to be honest if it is as bad as some claim then we will just hop off at crete and enjoy the rest of our holiday then sort things out on our return! i dont anticipate this happening and havent seen any further reviews since the last cruise - they returned last monday -so fingers crossed.

Sorry to hear about your m-i-l nice that they can postpone till after your cruise.

I always end up packing too much no matter how much I take out.

Gather Paula works in Excursions she is lovely sure she will give you info re getting about with the wheelchair.

Sure you will have a great time, I certainly intend to.

Goodness seems they have a heatwave in Greece 46 degrees (115 farenheit )

do hope it's not too hot for diz. Hope it cools down a little by the time I go.
