Have talked to several people who have recently retired and they all seem to say that they don't know how they ever found time to fit work in.
Did you buy anything nice?
Been overcast here all day till now, currently the sun shining and clouds completely disappeared.

Right that's it- all packed, early pick up in the morning.
Managed to buy a new dress and shorts and top. And new white trousers to replace the ones with a hole in the knee!
Will try to remember to look out for the play, and let you know if anything has changed on board!

Clocks still a clicking down.
Certainly looks better weather in Greece than this damp UK.

You should have seen the thunderstorm in Volos on Sunday!!
Hi- would like to say it's good to be back, but I'd rather still be there!! A third week would have rounded things off nicely!
Had a great time. Scorching weather, great food. Managed not to smoke in cabin at all!
There were 2 plays in Ionian week- Hobson's choice (evening) and Outside Edge (Sunday afternoon).
In Crimean week there was just 1 evening play- The Odd Couple.
Didn't see any of them I'm afraid, but heard good reports. Enjoyed the entertainment by the team that we saw, but guest artists not really to my taste.
Only a few weeks now, Middy!

Hi Kate
Sorry taken time to reply. Just finished a four night stint at work.
So we get two plays Have seen Hobsons choice before but did enjoy it so most likely will watch again as saw it last a few years back.
Sounds like you had a good time. Sure can't wait to go myself. Long overdue for a break.

Hi Middy- don't work TOO hard- save some energy for sightseeing!
We didn't do many trips this year- only 1 in fact (beach in Romania- not great!) We went into Corfu town and did the mini train and drooled at the shops! Zakynthos was a pretty town, took taxi to beach for 12 euros each way (he came back for us at appointed time). Water was perfect for swimming. Itea was a surprise as I was expecting a busy large town- it was far from it! Very pleasant stop, we just wandered but priced taxis- they were asking 50-60 euros to go to Delphi, wait hour and a half and return. Walked to both marinas in Piraeus. Volos was shut! Had a nice walk before the storm. Came back through canal much earlier this year- about 11 pm. Also nice night time sailing under the Rio- AntiRio bridge.
We even had calm seas on the Crimean leg!

Ello again Kate
Did you hear any reports on the ships tour of Delpi?
Funnily enough it rained buckets when we got to Volos last year though did stop after a bit. It was shut when we were then too.
Did you see any turtles when in Zakynthos ?
Nice to hear that the trip back through the Corinth is earlier, last year we had to set outr alarm clock for 3am
Glad the seas were nicer to you this year, though getting a bit rocky in the black sea area (not sea related.)

Do you know, Middy, we were so chilled out we saw no papers or news for a fortnight- bit of a shock to hear war had broken out in that area! There had been bombs in Istanbul just a few days before our visit too.
No turtles in sight on the busy beach we were on! Could have gone on a boat trip to the island where they can be seen, but you always have one eye on your watch! Saw plenty of jellyfish in Volos. They are not so cute though!
Spoke to a few people who did the Delphi trip and said it was the highlight of their trip, but didn't have enough time to explore it all as it is so big. Some others went on the local bus very cheaply, but that only goes once an hour.
