Well starting on all the arrangements. Mother is now penned in for respite whilst we are away. Don't know what I will do if one day they decide they won't have her.

Hi Middy- sounds like it's not easy getting away!!
2 more days work for me, then I can start getting ready. Hope I don't need too many clothes- went to town for some work presents today, and the shops looked like a jumble sale!

Evening Kate
Takes a little bit of organising to get away what with Work, Mother and all the animals.
Seems to have been quite warm around Greece certainly warmer than here. Do us a favour and let me know what the afternoon play is. Hope it's not one I've seen before. Just love the plays

Will do Middy, though not sure I can find the concentration to sit through it while on a cruise! Think I'm frightened of missing something! Last day at work tomorrow- really the last as I'm taking (early!!) retirement. It's been hard work sorting out all the paperwork and bits and pieces as I've been there 22 years. How long that sounds, and how quickly it's gone!

I've got at least another 14 years to go Pity I came out the NHS cause could have gone a bit earlier then, but the pension where I am now is rubbish. There sure is a lot of paperwork involved. I'm off to an early retirement do later this week, a colleague from my last job. Little way to drive as we moved about 40 miles since I changed jobs. Will be nice to see everybody as been 8 years since I left.
You picked the right time to finish work seems the weather is finally gonna warm up

Only 5 days to go Kate. Have you started the packing yet?
Did they give you a good send off at work?

Well I've thought about the packing! Then decided a shopping trip was vital!
They gave me a lovely send off with really nice presents and cards, mind you not one of the cards said EARLY retirement! It was a bit emotional though- they are a great bunch to work with.
Been really overcast all day here- looking forward to seeing some sun!
