We just walked around town last year in Volos. Not the same when the shops are shut. Mind you they had some wonderful looking cakes in the window everywhere. Yum

Started my cruise shopping.
They had the annual summer fair at work last Sunday. Found myself a few books ready for restful days on the shady side of the deck . Even managed to find one for Chris.

Got tickets today- really feel it's getting close now. Haven't got a thing to wear!
4 trips in the booklet for Itea- cheapest is 4 hours to Delphi £39, 2 very long ones, although "traditional villages" sounds good.
4 for Zante, including a beach trip to Agios Nikolaos.
I can see the bill adding up already!

I'm getting more and more excited as I read your posts! I've booked for 29 September departure (Crimean Itinerary B). However, because I've booked over the net, I just have a form to fill in, and I won't receive any booklets or further information, so I just have to rely on the website for info ........ I've printed most of it off anyway!!

Are you able to book trips before you embark?

Can you give me any advice on Istanbul? We arrive around 15H00 on one day and leave at 18H00 on the next. Now I have some ideas for what I'll be doing on the second day, but do you know if any tours are organised for the first day .... apart from a night excursion!!!

Please keep posting - it feels more and more real!

Hi Alsacienne.

I've never booked tours before boarding. Some times you don't get the tour booklet until the airport. That happened when I did the Red Sea. The excursions desk onboard is just opposite the reception so easy to locate and staff were really nice last year. Have not done the Istanbul stop but think Kate has.
