I'll look forward to playing "hunt the turtle" on Zakynthos!
A picturesque drive through the mountains to a nice beach sounds good, but then I'm a bit of a wimp and always worry whether there'll be a taxi to get us back again!

Found a bus timetable with prices.
Timetables and prices
Buses at bottom of page, does not say what they class as high season but read somewhere else that they have all the relevant information at the bus station.
Colleague did say that if you are gonna get a taxi. Walk away from the ship and don't make it apparant that you came from it. ( Though my experience on some greek Islands is that they have a governed price, remember it on Rhodes definitely)

It certainly looks very mountainous on the google earth photos!
A Sunday in Volos is also causing some pondering! Don't fancy a full day trip, and we did the train ride last year.
