Not TOO long to go now Middy, only 33 days for me!
There are very few reviews of the Calypso this year- suppose that was bound to be the case as it isn't her first "Thomson" year, but would be nice to see a few! I love hearing what people did in the different ports, and tips for what to look out for or avoid on board! kate |

Well gleaned a little information re Zante last night. will have to see if I can replicate her map on paintbox or something.
She says that the front is full of touristy type shops. To see the greek shops you need to go about three roads in from the port. Alexandra Roma. With regards beaches she did talk about vasilikos at the end of a peninsular about thirty minutes from town. You have to drive through mountainous region picturesque I gather.. For something quicker she suggested Kalamaki. Both are nesting grounds for loggerhead turtles. She says that if you walk out into the sea at the right time in the season you can see them swimming. Will have to investigate the seasons for loggerhead turtles.
