Thomson Cruises Specifications and profile.
Thomson cruises is a branch of TUI.
The cruise line is aimed at the British market. The boats are on lease from other companies but travel in their own livery. Currently they have four ships. Thomson Celebration sailing the Red sea this winter, then home porting in Palma during the summer. Thomson Destiny sailing The Canaries, Madiera and Morocco over the winter. Then home porting at Palma during the summer. The Emerald who home ports in Corfu during the summer. Thomson Spirit which sails directly from the UK in the summer, going both north to the Baltics and Iceland, also south to the Iberian Peninsula. From Summer 2007 they are introducing The Calypso which will home port in Thessaloniki and is reserved exclusively for adults. Thomson Ships have all had previous lives with previous companies and names. Destiny is ex Sunbird Ex Song of America. Celebration is ex Noordam. Spirit is ex Patriot ex Nieuw Amsterdam. Emerald is ex Regent Rainbow ex Santa Rosa

Tips are included in the price of the cruise.
All inclusive packages are available at a weekly price, if you book early or get special offer for free. There are conditions applied ,so some specific brands and special coffee's need additional payment. I personally would not pay for package as could not drink enough, though if they offer it for free would not say no.

Entertainment on the Spirit and Celebration this year included all the normal Cabarets, Comedians I'm sure were two per week, also did a late show with a comedian, a little more riskey.
They produced a comic play on each cruise, put on in the afternoon of a sea day. The acting on both ships was outstanding best bit of entertainment I've seen on ships. Hobsons Choice and The importance of being Earnest being the plays.
