Lightbulb Celebrity Summit propulsion problem reported (drydock booked, cruise altered)

As reported elsewhere, Summit has got a propulsion problem that has meant lost ports and a slower cruising speed...average of 14-15 knots maximum speed.

No confirmation as to whether repairs in drydock are required. The ship is due to carry out a transatlantic crossing later in November.

Any updates to the ship's condition will be posted here in due course.

Default

Summit is to be drydocked in February. This has caused the cruise leaving on January 31 to be shortened by 1 day to February 6th. Anyone booked on the original cruise will receive compensation and those using Celebrity air will have it changed by the company, anyone using independent air will be compensated for any penalties issued by airlines for changing the date.

The next cruise will leave as scheduled on February 14th.
