Star Clippers has posted their 2007-08 itineraries on the Web at
www.starclippers.com and the books are open for reservations. Guests looking to take a Star Clippers cruise can find a travel agent near them on the Star Clippers Web site or call their preferred agent to make a booking. The itineraries take the three authentic clipper ships in Star Clippers fleet across the globe to the Mediterranean, Caribbean, Far East and South Pacific, and range in length from four to 37 days.
Caribbean favorites and a Panama Canal transit
Royal Clipper and Star Clipper continue their Caribbean seasons with seven-night round-trip Barbados and round-trip St. Maarten sailings, respectively, through April 2007. The ships call at old favorites and less-visited islands, including St. Lucia, St. Kitts, Bequia, Grenada, Antigua and Jost van Dyke.
Royal Clipper, the 227-passenger flagship of the fleet, returns to the region in November 2007 and continues to sail two seven-night round-trip Barbados itineraries through April 2008. A special 11-night New Year's Eve sailing aboard Royal Clipper departs Barbados on Dec. 29, 2007, and takes the ship to Panama City, Panama, via a transit of the Panama Canal. Along the way guests will visit Tobago Cays, Grenada, Venezuela, Curaçao, Aruba and Colombia.
Star Flyer says farewell to the Far East and Star Clipper makes debut
From December 2006 to March 2007, Star Flyer sails its final Far East season before Star Clipper takes over the route. With the intimate size of the vessels and just 170 passengers, the two distinct seven-night round-trip Phuket, Thailand, itineraries enable the ships to visit tiny island jewels in Thailand and Malaysia.
The seven-night round-trip Phuket Southern Route sailing includes calls at Batong Group, Penang, Ko Lipe, Ko Khai Nok, Phang Nga/Ko Hong and Similan Islands. The seven-night round-trip Phuket Northern Route sailing calls at Surin Islands, Similan Islands, Ko Rok Nok, Phi Phi Islands, Phang Nga/Ko Khai Nok and Langawi.
Two special seven-night sailings in March 2007 take Star Flyer between Phuket and Singapore, and include calls at pristine islands such as the Similans, Phang Nga, Ko Hong, Ko Khai Nok, Ko Lipe, Ko Miang and Ko Adang, Thailand; and Penang or Langkawi and Malacca, Malaysia. Star Clipper repositions to the Far East in November 2007 and takes over the round-trip Phuket routes and sailings between Phuket and Singapore.
Med itineraries include idyllic ports and adventurous escapes
The Mediterranean continues to be a hot destination for travelers, and Star Clippers' 2007 summer Mediterranean offers guests an assortment of itineraries ranging from four to 14 nights. From April to October 2007, the three ships in the fleet will journey to 11 countries and offer a series of special cruises in addition to the regular itineraries.
Royal Clipper again sails its popular 10- and 11-night cruises between Venice and Civitavecchia, Italy, that include calls in Croatia and Montenegro, in addition to seven-night round-trip Civitavecchia sailings that showcase the best of Italy.
Round-trip Cannes, France, itineraries ranging in length from four to seven nights make up the majority of Star Clipper's Mediterranean season, with additional cruises departing from Lisbon, Portugal, and Barcelona, Spain, to enhance the cruise options.
Sailing its final season in the Mediterranean before repositioning to French Polynesia, Star Flyer offers seven-night round-trip Athens cruises and 10- and 11-night itineraries between Athens and Venice. Marking the line's longest Mediterranean voyage of the season, the ship sails a 14-night Athens to Malaga, Spain, cruise departing in September 2007.
Star Flyer repositions to a South Pacific paradise
Come December 2007, Tahiti cruises make their debut in Star Clippers' voyage schedule when Star Flyer repositions to French Polynesia for year-round itineraries. The three distinct products -- seven-night round-trip Papeete, Tahiti, cruises, 10- and 11-night round-trip Papeete cruises and 10- and 11-night cruises between Papeete and Nuku Hiva, Marquesas -- are packed with several overnight calls and breathtaking scenery.
The 11 ports of call that compose the destination-intense itineraries take the ship to the Society, Marquesas and Tuamotus Islands. Along the way, sunset departures, cruising in crystalline lagoons and opportunities to dive and snorkel in some of the most spectacular sites in the world enhance every itinerary. And shore excursions are designed to introduce guests to the fascinating culture and history of the Polynesian people.
Ocean Crossings on authentic clipper ships offer once-in-a-lifetime journey
For guests looking to unwind and rejuvenate while also visiting exciting destinations, ocean crossings offer the perfect combination of relaxation and adventure. Traversing the ocean on a clipper ship feels more like an epic journey, and Star Clippers is offering five crossings ranging from 16 to 37 nights.
Transatlantic journeys take Royal Clipper from Barbados to Civitavecchia, and from Lisbon to Barbados; Star Flyer sails from Malaga to Barbados. Two 37-night Indian Ocean crossings transit the Suez Canal and take Star Flyer from Phuket to Athens and Star Clipper from Athens to Phuket, both calling at ports in Greece, Egypt, India and Sri Lanka.
