The currency on the boat is Dollars, I have already prepaid the gratuities. I know most things are put on onboard account. But will I need dollars e.g. might want to play Bingo. If I wanted to tip extra would the staff accept euros.

Middy, use the ATM machine on board. Withdraw the amount of dollars you need. Your account will be charged in your home currency.
The purser's office will likely do the same thing,
Sure you can use the cash machine (ATM), but this is expensive (the machine charges you and your bank will also take their 'cut') and won't give single dollars.
How are we in the UK going to get hold of single dollars, as I presume the ship is 'cash free' like the other cruise liners?
I was wondering about this as well.

We did Caribbean last November and our travel agent was quite accomodating with finding one dollar notes,Thomas Cook. Actually took too many, thought there would have been more need to tip, but not one for room service only ordered two bottles of Vodka.

Well took a few dollars with me anyway, had some left from previous cruise.
Only used them for extra tip for staff, could have used euros or pounds so no actual need to take dollars at all.
