Default Spirit of Adventure to make Britain/Iceland cruise from Portsmouth

As part of Saga Cruise’s Spirit of Adventure’s return to the UK and Europe in 2008 the yacht-like vessel will be making her first ever visit to the UK port of Portsmouth and undertaking a 14 night ‘To the Land of Ice and Fire’ cruise. The 352 passenger capacity vessel sails from Portsmouth on 18 June 2008 and returns to the south coast UK port on 2 July, after calling in Dublin, Republic of Ireland; Tobermory, Scotland; Akureyri, Isafjord, Reykjavik and Heimaey, Iceland; Cobh, Republic of Ireland and Falmouth. Prices per person start from £2,024.

As part of the 1980-built vessel’s UK cruise season in 2008 Spirit of Adventure will also undertake a four night ‘Maritime Ports of Ireland and Wales’ cruise from Liverpool on 7 June, calling at Belfast, Dublin, Pembroke and Cardiff, before then operating a seven night ‘Celtic Legends’ cruise from Cardiff on 11 June, calling at Dublin, Belfast, Killybegs, Foynes, Tresco, Guernsey and Portsmouth. The vessel then makes her ‘To the Land of Ice and Fire’ cruise before redeploying to Harwich to undertake a 14 night ‘White Nights in the Gulf of Bothnia’ cruise, calling at Aalborg and Copenhagen, Denmark; Turku and Vaasa, Finland; Lulea and Stockholm, Sweden; Visby, Gotland; Ronne, Denmark and then transit Kiel Canal, back to Harwich.
