Hi

Sky Wonder is now underway to Istanbul at 17.3 knots.

She is shown as arriving there at 14.00 hrs on Saturday.

Unless there is any changes to her schedule, she remains in port overnight before sailing on the next cruise.

I wonder if any of the passengers who would not disembark, when she went aground at Kusadasi, are still on board.

On the Greek AIS system, for the Piraeus area, her status is now being shown as ' Underway by Sail ! '

Mistakes often happen on this system but I wonder if they are telling us something this time !

Maybe she should have a tug escort incase she has to go backwards

Shouldn't laugh, but it really must be an embarrassment for the two companies...Pullmantur & Royal Caribbean.

Default Sky Wonder

Hi

Sky Wonder has arrived in Piraeus this morning on schedule.
It looks as if her present cruise has proceeded with no problems.

From the AIS system for the port of Piraeus she appears to be alongside the passenger terminal but the webcam covering that area of the port is still not working so no pictures can be obtained.

Default Sky Wonder

Hi

It would be interesting to know what the directors of Pullmantur Cruises call her !

They will soon have the other ex P & O Australia cruise ship ' Pacific Star ' so I wonder what problems she will bring with her.

Pullmantur could not have saddled themselves with two worse ships than the gruesome twosome, Neil.

They may well keep them both til Sovereign joins the fleet in November...although they might bring Sovereign over sooner if the two ex CCL ships cause much more aggro for the company.

Default Sky Wonder

Hi

This just goes to show what can happen when cruise ship companies off load their older ships.

With steel prices being high at present she might now be worth more than they paid for her !

The Alang beach breakers need more ships....those two are prime examples that...unlike Norway...will not be missed if sent for breaking.

Hi

Perhaps they should consider re-directing the Ex Pacific Star to Alang when she leaves Singapore.

Wouldn't be a bad idea, Neil. Those two ships need taking out of service...not due to age but just that they don't seem to be able to carry out the reasonably basic task that they were built to do. They have been nothing but trouble since they were launched.
