Smile Silverseas serves up more speakers and celebrities

Silversea Cruises had added more guest speakers and enrichment programmes onboard its 2007 sailings. The latest addition will be celebrity chef, Noel McMeel who was recently seen on TV competing in the Great British Menu programme.

Northern Irish McMeel is the resident chef at Castle Leslie in Dublin, the venue for Sir Paul McCartney’s wedding to Heather Mills. His cookery school at Castle Leslie will be brought into the galley onboard Silver Shadow on the voyage departing on September 3, from Hamburg to London.

Two expert speakers on the lives and works of authors Ian Fleming and Ernest Hemingway will join Silver Shadow’s round trip Caribbean sailing departing from Fort Lauderdale end October 2007. The voyage celebrates the lives and works of the two writers both of whom lived and worked in Jamaica and Key West which will be ports of call.

John Cork is a published author and expert on both the James Bond legacy and Ernest Hemingway, having written books and short films on both subjects. Joining him will be the Justin Llewellyn, son of actor, Desmond Llewellyn, who played gadget man ‘Q’ in 17 Bond films. He is the roving ambassador for Tattinger Champagne which Fleming chose as James Bond’s favourite marque in his books, he is also the Consul General for Great Britain for the ‘Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne’, the only official champagne fraternity in the world.
