Default Silversea Cruises and Monte-Carlo SBM enter into an agreement

Ultra-luxury cruise market leader Silversea and Monte-Carlo Societe des Bains de Mer (SBM), two Monaco-based companies, announce that they are entering into a joint promotion and marketing agreement, wherein Silversea and Monte-Carlo SBM will develop a joint action plan aimed at leveraging synergies such as cross-exposure to their respective luxury clientele (magazines, websites, newsletters, direct-mail), organization of joint events in Monte Carlo and aboard Silversea vessels, development of brand awareness and new revenues from sales plans in key originating markets. The agreement also includes cross-fertilization through exchanges of personnel, including chefs for the organization of culinary weeks, as well as pre- and post-cruise packages, joint promotion targeted to selected distribution channels, common presence in a selection of trade shows and workshops worldwide, mutual extension of current partnerships when appropriate.

Bernard Lambert, CEO of Monte-Carlo SBM, states: "Monte-Carlo SBM is proud to enter into this agreement with one of the most respected cruise companies in the world. We both offer innovative experiences and like to surprise our international guests with a genuine lifestyle and a blend of European touch. We have indeed a lot in common in the luxury segment, starting with such values as excellence and passion."

Manfredi Lefebvre d'Ovidio, chairman of Silversea Cruises, and Amerigo Perasso, president, confirm: "Silversea Cruises recognizes the brand value of Monte Carlo and the savoir-faire of SBM. We share the same vision of excellence and luxury. It is our intention to further leverage the exceptional relationship that we have developed with Monte-Carlo SBM and the Principality of Monaco, where we will be more and more present in the future."

Since its creation more than 140 years ago, Societe des Bains de Mer (Monte-Carlo SBM) has grown Monte-Carlo as one of the most prestigious brand names in the world of gaming, hospitality and luxury. Synonymous with excellence, passion, inventiveness, glamour and prestige worldwide, Monte-Carlo SBM offers a unique resort by the sunny Mediterranean Sea, featuring five casinos, five palaces and 4-star hotels (Hotel de Paris, Hotel Hermitage, Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel, Hotel Mirabeau, Monte-Carlo Bay Hotel & Resort), thirty restaurants and bars, including the celebrated "Le Louis XV-Alain Ducasse," the Thermes Marins, the Sporting Monte-Carlo and its Salle des Etoiles, the famous Jimmy'z nightclub, the Monte-Carlo Country Club and the Monte-Carlo Golf Club.

Silversea Cruises is recognized as an innovator in the luxury segment, offering guests large-ship amenities aboard four intimate vessels, Silver Cloud, Silver Wind, Silver Shadow, and Silver Whisper, all designed to offer an atmosphere of conviviality and casual elegance. For the ninth year, Silversea was named "Number One" small-ship line in the 2005 "Readers' Choice" survey conducted by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. For the sixth time, Silversea was selected "World's Best" small-ship line in the 2004 Travel + Leisure readers' poll.
