The global population has been hit with an onslaught of world cruises causing many cruising companies to not only reminisce of the cruising days of old, but have in fact inspired the recreation of these travels of luxury and mystique.
It is with this same tone that Silversea announced the unveiling of a 2008 World Cruise appropriately titled ‘The Rhythms of the World’ with the top cruising company sending its Silver Shadow across the globe on a 110-day voyage. The Silver Shadow will be visiting more than 25 countries and 50 different ports of call.
“A Silversea world cruise is a complete lifestyle experience,” said Silversea Regional Director of Sales in Australia and New Zealand Karen Christensen. “Not only will our guests have the chance to visit incredible destinations and explore fascinating cultures during their voyage, but they’ll enjoy an expanded programme of onboard and land-based enrichment activities along the way.”
Luxurious and spacious ocean-view accommodation, sumptuous gourmet cuisine, personalised service and warm Italian hospitality will be enjoyed by guests as they sail to destinations never before visited by Silversea such as Majuro in the Marshall Islands, Pohnpei in Micronesia, Apra Harbour on the island of Guam and Iwo Jima. The Silver Shadow will be taking only 382 passengers around the world, meaning that the Fort Lauderdale round trip will be a wonderfully intimate experience.
The trip will also involve exclusive shore side events on the eve of departure with hotel accommodation, private transfer and baggage handling between airport, hotel and ship, onboard spending credit, escorted shore excursions, a gala farewell event and special commemorative gifts.
Reservations for the 2008 ‘Rhythms of the World’ Tour is officially open and pricing with complete itinerary will be available at
