Default Major restructure for Silversea

Silversea has announced major organisational restructures specifically aimed at strengthening and consolidating the company's plans for growth and development.

CEO Albert Pete said: "The adaptation of our organisational structure to the business needs of Silversea is a significant factor in determining the success of our company. As such we have decided to restructure the internal management within our UK and international markets."

Aris Zarpanely will be relocating to Silversea's Monaco office as Executive Vice President with new responsibilities focusing on internal global projects and new business opportunities. These areas represent a key goal of developing and expanding on the core business of Silversea and will fully utilise his broad knowledge and understanding of the cruise market.

Peter added," Aris has been with Silversea since the launch of the company and over the past 12 years has opened up Silversea in all markets outside of the Americas. His reputation and dedication have been vital to the success of our sales effort throughout Europe and I'm certain that in his new role he will continue to open up opportunities in areas we have not yet targeted."

It was also announced that Steve Odell, currently Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Asia Pacific has been promoted to Senior Vice President, UK, Europe, Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets and will take over full responsibility for these markets.

“Steve has agreed to come back to London to take over Aris's position. He has been with Silversea for seven years and during this time he has worked together with Aris in successfully developing our business in the UK, Europe, new markets and lately Asia Pacific. His knowledge and expertise will enable a smooth transition of responsibilities whilst developing a strong growth programme," said Peter.

Odell will continue to be based in Australia for an initial period of eight months and will divide his time between Sydney and London. This will enable Silversea to provide an appropriate transition period for the company’s Asia Pacific business.

Within his role Odell will take direct responsibility for the markets headed by Trudy Redfern, Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Silversea UK and Nordic Regions, Enrico Origone, Vice President, Sales, Silversea Continental Europe and Sergio Dell'Acqua, Vice President, Sales, Emerging Markets, as they will now be reporting directly to him.
