Silversea Cruises opens new Asia Pacific Corporate Office in Sydney
Quote:
Silversea Cruises will open its new Corporate Regional Office in Sydney on Monday 21 April, as part of major expansion plans for the Asia Pacific market.
Steve Odell, Senior Vice President Asia Pacific said “This is a particularly exciting period for Silversea. We will be expanding the fleet in June with the addition of the purpose built, expedition vessel Prince Albert II, thus taking expedition cruising in a new, all inclusive, luxury direction. A new 540 guest ship Silver Spirit is scheduled for the end of 2009 and will visit this region in her inaugural season.
“With the opening of our new regional headquarters, we will be able to take direct control of all reservations, documentation, sales and marketing, thus providing improved support for agents selling our all inclusive cruise products.
“Our dedicated sales and marketing office in the Sydney CBD is now available to serve the needs of all agents across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. We are inviting agents to register to become accredited Silversea agents by calling the new office on 1300 306 872 or New Zealand (in country) toll free 0800 701 427 or e-mail asia-pacific@silverseacruises.com.”
Silversea has employed an experienced team of cruise professionals to handle all inquiries. New staff appointments include Passenger Services Manager, Anita Hobdell, and Cruise Reservations & Documentation Consultants Annie Weinert, Tim West and Patrick Cox.
“For the past four years we have experienced phenomenal business growth of over 600 percent from the Asia Pacific region. We are therefore investing significant resources to support our major expansion, at a time when we see sustained growth continuing for all-suite, small ship cruising and we have now added the extra dimension of luxury exploration cruising to the Silversea brand, “Odell added.
“Our whole objective is to grow that Silversea brand, thus broadening the appeal to new sectors of the affluent cruising market,” said Odell.
