Silversea promotes Alaska season

Silversea Cruises is promoting its all-suite Silver Shadow as the only ultra-luxury ship in Alaska this summer. The vessel will operate 10 itineraries of nine to 12 days, several round-trip from Vancouver, with open-jaw voyages available from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Seward.

The company is offering savings of up to 40%. David Morris, evp worldwide sales and marketing for Silversea, said one voyage is already sold out.

Silver Shadow’s Alaska enrichment program includes experts from various fields. For example, on the May 31 Los Angeles to Vancouver voyage, marine biologist John Palmisano will offer insights, while Relais & Châteaux chef Anne Desjardins from L'Eau à la Bouche in Ste-Adèle, Québec, and wine expert John Shafer of Napa Valley’s Shafer Vineyards will be aboard the June 21 cruise from Vancouver to San Francisco.

Pre- and post-cruise land programs with deluxe accommodations are available starting at $1,395 per person.
