24 night Silver Shadow Cruise combines the very best of Asia, north Africa and Europe
Silversea Cruises is offering generous early booking savings for its luxurious 24 night cruise from Mumbai to Barcelona. Departing 26 March 2008, the fascinating voyage combines seductive Asian and North African cities and stunning natural landscapes with the best of European glamour.
The cruise starts from India’s vibrant city of Mumbai and travels west to the beautiful port of Salalah in Oman's southern Dhofar region, renowned for its rich culture. The Silver Shadow will then dock at Safaga in Egypt, followed by the Jordanian Red Sea resort of Aqaba and Sharm-el-Sheik in Egypt, before transiting the Suez Canal.
The Silver Shadow docks at Athens in Greece on 10 April, before sailing around Italy’s beautiful coastline including Taormina in Sicily, Naples, Rome, Portofino and Livorno. The vessel will then stop at sophisticated Monte Carlo in Monaco on 17 April before reaching its final destination of Barcelona in Spain, disembarking on 19 April.
Cruise only fares start from US$10,059 per person, double occupancy, for those booking by 30 November 2007, a saving of 20 per cent off the standard fare.
To complement the voyage, guests can extend their holiday with a pre-cruise Land Programme to explore India further. The four night Glory of the Mughals programme takes in the Taj Mahal, New Delhi and Agra Fort from US$2,875 per guest. The six night Realm of the Tiger Safari programme includes game drives in the exclusive Ranthombore National Park and visits to New Delhi and Agra Fort from US$4,370. Alternatively, guests can enjoy the Palaces of the Maharajahs programme from US$5,590, which takes in the grandeur and exquisite architecture of three of India’s most impressive cities: New Delhi, Jaipur and Udaipur.
Silversea Cruises offers large-ship amenities onboard four intimate vessels. The Silver Shadow has the luxury and elegance of a private yacht and the services of a five-star hotel, with a crew of 295 to look after 382 guests. Fares are all inclusive with all-suite accommodation, complimentary wines, champagnes and spirits, and guests can dine at their leisure in a choice of four gourmet restaurants. The friendly Silversea service is renowned and all gratuities are included.
*Port charges, government fees and taxes are additional. Subject to availability. All costs are based on per person, double occupancy.
