Exclamation 2 Cancelled cruises for RSSC Voyager due to unexpected repairs

Regent Seven Seas Cruises extended the scheduled drydocking of Seven Seas Voyager for a further 11 days in order to carry out technical work.

As a result, the Nov. 30 four-night cruise and the Dec. 4 seven-night cruise have been canceled. Regent expects the ship to resume its published schedule in Port Everglades on Dec. 11.

Passengers on the canceled sailings will get a full refund and an incentive to book a future cruise. Agent commissions are protected.

Seven Seas Voyager is at Grand Bahama Shipyard, where it arrived on Nov. 20 for a scheduled 10-day docking for routine maintenance. Regent said that during a regular inspection of the ship’s diesel electric motors by technicians from Siemens, the manufacturer, some damage to the electrical connections was observed.

It was decided that both motors need to be disassembled and repaired. Spare parts and additional technical assistance have been flown in from Siemens in Europe.

Ally
We had reservations on the Nov 30 cruise. Yes, indeed, they did give us a full refund and $500 p/p applied to our March cruise on the Mariner. Good company, doncha think? I found a nice HAL cruise for the end of January, so I have something to look forward to.l
