SeaDream Yacht Club's SeaDream II will make a rare visit to Miami Nov. 14 as part of an 11-night sailing in the Bahamas, Turks and Caicos, British Virgin Islands, Netherlands Antilles, French West Indies and Dominican Republic. No staterooms presently available, but inquiries are being placed on the waitlist. The absence from Miami is "not because we don't love it here," said President and CEO Larry Pimentel. "SeaDream I and II spend summer months in Europe and winter in the Caribbean, but when cruising in the Caribbean it's more practical for us to sail in and out of San Juan or St. Thomas, for example, than it is for us to base our yachts in Florida. Our guests tell us they prefer it that way and some actually live here while many spend pre- or post-cruise holidays in the Miami area anyway at area hotels and resorts. In fact, quite a few tell us they have second homes here."
SeaDream II will sail from the Port of Miami on Nov. 14 and will conclude the cruise Nov. 25 in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas. Fares for this sailing are from $4,799 per person double occupancy. Included are meals, complimentary wine with lunch and dinner, open bar, use of water sports equipment and gratuities. Ports of call are Port Lucaya, Nassau and Egg Island in the Bahamas; Cockburn Town, Turks and Caicos; Samana, Dominican Republic; Jost van Dyke and Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands; Marigot, St. Martin; and Gustavia, St. Barthelemy.
