The 10th Annual Condé Nast Traveler ‘Hot List’ singles out the southern Italian region of Puglia as its up-and-coming ‘Hot Europe’ destination for travelers.
Seabourn Cruise Line notes that Puglia is already on the company’s radar for 2007. Located halfway between Bari and Brindisi on the Adriatic coast of Italy's ‘heel,’ the port of Monopoli is in the heart of the Puglia region.
Seabourn Pride will initiate Seabourn's Puglia presence with a full-day maiden call at Monopoli in May next year during a 10-day cruise from Athens to Rome. Then Seabourn Spirit will call three times during seven-day cruises between Athens and Venice in July, August and September.
Seabourn said the Mediterranean provides ‘a myriad of intriguing ports’ accessible to its yacht-sized Seabourn Spirit and Legend. The volcanic Aeolian island of Lipari is new in 2007, as is Tarragona in Spain. Destinations on Turkey's Turquoise Coast include Fethiye and Alanya, with a return to the seaside resort Marmaris. Also added in Europe is Belle-Ile-en-Mer off the Atlantic coast of Brittany.

Ultra luxury small ship specialist Seabourn Cruise Line has opened bookings for its three yacht-like, all-suite ships through to beyond Easter, 2008.
The 15-month schedule includes 125 cruises aboard Seabourn Pride, Spirit and Legend, calling at more than 225 ports in 64 countries between January 2007 and April 2008.
The schedule can be found at the company's website located at www.seabourn.com.
Cruise schedules and fares for the first quarter 2007 were published a year ago in an annual brochure along with the complete 2006 cruises, and have already been selling steadily, according to Seabourn president Deborah Natansohn.
"Because our ships carry just 208 guests each, and because they have been sailing at very near full capacity for the last couple of years, our loyal repeat guests are booking further in advance to ensure themselves the widest choice of departures and accommodations especially if they want to book back-to-back combinations in their favorite suites," said Ms Natansohn.
New for 2007 are several 'Sail & Stay' packages combining cruises with luxury pre-and post-cruise extensions in popular destinations such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Istanbul and Athens.
Nearly 30 percent of the line's cruises in the 15-month period are being marketed in cruise lengths of six to eight days. The bulk of the seasonal cruises in the Caribbean and Mediterranean for Seabourn Spirit and Seabourn Legend are available in the form of seven-day cruises, designed to be easily combined for longer voyages of up to five weeks' sailing with different port content.
