Luxury cruise company Seabourn is to begin voyages to the Puglia region of southern Italy.

The area was included in Conde Nast Traveler's "Hot List" of up-and-coming European destinations, with its beautiful beaches and rich cultural heritage singled out for particular praise.

In May 2007, the vessel Seabourn Pride will call at Monopoli, located on the Adriatic coast in the heart of the Puglia region. This will be part of a 10-day cruise from Athens to Rome.

Meanwhile, Seabourn Spirit will call at Monopoli during its 7-day cruises from Athens to Venice, which take place in July, August and September next year.

Seabourn cruises feature "Signature Delights", which are designed to provide passengers with maximum luxury. They include intimate ships (with room for 208 guests) that can reach places bigger vessels cannot; gourmet dining, with meals available when and where you want them; an open bar with free champagne; and 24-hour suite service.
