Lightbulb Seabourn Expansion Includes Its Website

Quote:
MIAMI, May 6 -- The Yachts of Seabourn announced that, in keeping with the impending expansion of its fleet, the company has completed a major overhaul of its award-winning website at The Yachts of Seabourn. The expansion created multiple new functionalities allowing guests and travel agents to research destinations, explore options and customize Seabourn vacations on line, as well as enhancing its design.

Pamela C. Conover, the line's president and CEO, noted that "A Seabourn yachting vacation is all about service and style, and the website is first and foremost a tool for our booked guests and agents to use, so we wanted to ensure that the newly launched website would be easier to use, and more varied in its functions, but we also want it to welcome newcomers and introduce them to the lifestyle aboard our yachts, so we also made it richer in content, as well as more attractive than ever before."

The site contains more port descriptions, more details and more in-depth information than was previously available. Visitors can now research select ports of call to explore their cultural highlights, learn fun facts and get up-to-date insider tips about what's new and exciting in a port and its vicinity. There are even recipes for some of celebrity chef Charlie Palmer's signature dishes served on board the Seabourn yachts.

Enhanced interactivity allows booked guests to purchase pre- and post-cruise hotel stays and Seabourn Journeys land extensions, as well as certain mid-cruise overland options and shore excursions several months before departure, by adding them to the master cruise booking with simple point-and-click menus. The optional excursions for all ports of call on the cruise itinerary are thoroughly described, and guests can make or change reservations for optional excursions to be purchased once they embark. For those who seek a more customized experience, the site also offers an easy message link to Seabourn's Signature Service Desk, with which the guests can request personalized arrangements in any of their ports of call, from a simple car and driver to local dining reservations or elaborate special events or celebrations.

Visitors who have not yet sailed with Seabourn can explore the vessels in great detail, research itineraries and departure dates, order brochures and sign up to receive Seabourn's periodic SeaMail SM newsletters alerting them to special offers. The entire site has been redesigned to match the company's new visual motif, which was introduced with the publication of a brochure highlighting Seabourn's 2009-10 collection of yachting vacations and Sail & Stay yacht-land combinations. Another popular feature that remains in service is Seabourn's unique Virtual Theater section, which houses a library of informational and promotional videos and virtual ship tours. For information about the Yachts of Seabourn or its website, contact a travel agent, call Seabourn at 1-800-929-93921 or visit The Yachts of Seabourn.
