Regatta back on course after rescue assist
Quote:
Oceania Cruises’ Regatta assisted the sailing yacht Fenix, carrying two people and in distress off the south coast of Florida, after a mayday call received at 1:45 a.m.
The Key West U.S. Coast Guard Station asked Regatta to remain in the vicinity until a cutter arrived on the scene four hours later. At 5:10 a.m., Regatta was released by the USCG and is proceeding at full speed to Spanish Town, BVI.
The ship is expected to arrive, on schedule, at 9 a.m. Friday, an Oceania Cruises spokesman said.
