Lightbulb Queen Victoria - TOGs give Sir Terry a boost

Quote:
June 21, 2008 - Sir Terry Wogan and his team will be joined by a terrific talent this autumn when they sail the high seas on Cunard's Queen Victoria.

The TOG's Voyage departs November 17 and is set to raise a considerable sum for the BBC's Children In Need on a 12-night exploration of the Mediterranean - packed with special entertainment, excursions and live programmes for Radio 2.

Jazz singer and Radio 2 favourite Clare Teale jumped at the chance of joining the party. "I love Sir Terry and I love the TOG's," said Clare. "I am really looking forward to the trip."

Cunard is contributing ten per cent of the fare of all TOG bookings to the cause, guaranteeing at least £150 per TOG guest. And a full programme of fund-raising activities is aimed to boost funds further.

But please note - to be counted as a TOG bookings must be made directly online via Togs Calendar or on the Cunard website, or by contacting Cunard direct on 0845 0710300.

The trip includes

* A special Tog’s champagne reception
* An intrepid Tog’s land excursion at one of the fascinating ports of call
* Deadly’s pub quiz extraordinaire
* The Loose Cannon Karaoke!
* Janet and John Live!
* The Return of Blankety Blank
* A leading musical artist live

Sir Terry, who will broadcast two live Wake Up To Wogan shows from the ship, will be joined by most of his entourage.

Alan ‘Barrowlands’ Boyd, Alan 'Deadly' Dedicoat, John Marsh and his wife Janet (Janet and John) and the 'Loose Cannon' Roger Royle will be on board for much of the time.

The 12-night trip to Rome departs from Athens, calls at eight historic ports, including Istanbul, Port Said and Cairo in Egypt, Valetta in Malta, and Messina, Sicily
