Cunard Line’s Queen Mary 2 returns to New York in a week's time after completing her maiden world cruise. On her return to New York she willl be based in the city for the next 18 months.

The liner is significantly expanding New York service, with more Atlantic crossings, weekend getaways and Caribbean sailings.

On May 24, QM2 will host The Britannia Ball, a gala fundraiser benefiting the New York City Opera and Brooklyn Academy of Music. Attendees who book the four-day ‘Memorial Day Getaway’ to the Bahamas, departing the next afternoon, will be invited to overnight on board following the gala.

QM2’s New York schedule includes 10 six-day eastbound crossings to Southampton from April through October. In addition, the ship will offer two seven- and eight-day crossings, to Le Havre and Hamburg.

Ten-day ‘Connoisseur’s Caribbean’ voyages will operate roundtrip from New York, along with a pair of 13-day Panama/Caribbean cruises. Other itineraries include a 14-day Caribbean holiday voyage in December and a trio of four-day getaways coinciding with long weekend holidays.
