Unhappy Murder on the QM2?

Don't know if this made the news in the rest of the world so thought I would post a link to the BBC story. I am sure QM2 could do without the bad press. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4768493.stm

Lancashirelad,

I have seen nothing in the US press on this, I can't imagine the fight that must have taken place. You are correct, terrible press for Cunard.

Given the number of people on a ship at any one time, I would imagine that statistics would log any number of assaults but most would not end in death.

Same people confined for weeks, months at a time in the same spaces.

Unfortunately, another place that fits that description is a prison.

I am one who is fascinated by statistics and chance . Math can make the past understandable and the future often predictable.

In my humble opinion ( the one that counts )

Lancashirelad... have heard nothing here either. Agree, QM2 does not need any more adverse publicity.

Good evening, all

Well...!!!..the ambulance chasers and headline seekers must feel quite deflated by now.....Not much of a story for them in this one....Tough....!!!

It's nice to see a swift, efficient and orderly process followed after such a regrettable episode....Congrats to the various authorities and our toughts go to the two broken families back in the Phillipines.

So refreshing to see the media so sober or non existent , for a change.

Cheers
CG

What ?

No 24/7 coverage on CNN or the Dratted FOX news ? channel ?

Something must be wrong.

I know !

Just two men fighting and one is killed.

No sexy young women, drugs, alcohol, hmmmmmmmmmm....

Nowdays the news channels can only do one story at a time, so they were probably busy on another one.
