Lightbulb A new vp for Pullmantur

Quote:
Bernard Echevarria, general manager of Latitude Sud, general sales agent in France for Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Azamara Cruises and Pullmantur, has been appointed vp and gm sales and marketing for Pullmantur, Seatrade Insider has learned.

Based in Madrid and starting on Monday, he is to oversee all countries where the company is represented.

Claiming a 60% share of the Spanish market, Pullmantur, part of the Royal Caribbean group, is a leader in the tour operator and cruise sectors in Spain, which has been growing strongly as a source market during the past few years and counted some 480,000 passengers in 2007.

Latitude Sud is to be managed by Frédéric Sauvadet, who has been working in the cruise sector for 15 years and developed his expertise in the fields of e-communication, commerce and marketing. He was until recently spokesman for France Ferries et Croisières, the cruise association that includes most of the companies operating in France.

Sauvadet is charged with intensifying contacts with the distribution network, developing awareness of the Royal Caribbean brands and promoting the assets of one of the most diversified offers on the French market.
