Princess are sending 5 ships to the Alaskan Gulf region next year...

Princess Cruises will deploy a record five vessels on its Gulf of Alaska route in 2007. The 670-passenger Pacific Princess joins the lineup for the first time with new mid-week departures.

In total Princess ships will operate 85 Gulf of Alaska sailings on two different seven-night itineraries. The program features a record 78 Glacier Bay calls.

The 2,670-passenger Diamond Princess and Sapphire Princess will sail 35 voyages that depart on Saturdays from Vancouver or Whittier and call at Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway with scenic cruising of Glacier Bay and the 16 glaciers of College Fjord. In addition, the 1,970-passenger Coral Princess and Island Princess will offer 36 departures of the same itinerary, sailing on Mondays.

For the first time, Princess will offer Wednesday departures across the Gulf. The 14 cruises on Pacific Princess will include stops at Ketchikan, Juneau and Skagway and scenic cruising of Glacier Bay and College Fjord on southbound routes. On northbound sailings, a new itinerary will visit the same ports with scenic cruising of Tracy Arm Fjord, Hubbard Glacier and College Fjord.

Twenty-two land tour options are available with ‘Direct to the Wilderness’ rail service from Whittier.
