In Acapulco last October we had a ship tour, which included the Cliff Divers, local tours excluded the divers. If you go on a tour and the cliff divers take your binoculars if you have some with you. Tours go into a hotel, with a drink, and you are on a balcony quite high up. You are also treated to some Mexican Dancers, whilst the divers are returning to the hotel. There is a closer viewing point, but a long walk down to it.

We also went to the viewpoints around Acapulco and also went out of town to the International Golf Course, where we rode around the grounds.

We stayed in Acapulco till the early morning, was going to explore on our own in the evening. Passed through the ship security and felt a spot of rain, then the heavens opened. Every one that left the ship came back completely drowned, as the rain kept pouring all night, we turned around and returned to the ship. When it rains it certainly rains very heavily. Could not believe it after the very hot sunshine in the day.

We enjoyed what we saw in Acapulco and I would recommend a tour.

We have booked some excursions

Lovely Lorca
Sloth Sanctuary
Tropical Mangroves
Hacienda Palermo Traditions

We will look at the others later. We did think about the train (dome ride) but felt it was a long day on a train.

John & Middy

On your cruise we have visited some parts of your itinerary. We have flown to Montego Bay, we had a short break before cruising on NCL Dawn from New York. Montego Bay airport, security unbelievable, everybody had to take everything out of cases, then repack them. We flew from New York. The way we came was straight across Cuba, also the Bahamas.

Cartagena - A beautiful Colombian city, very nice, we had a taxi tour, very good.

Colon - Many ship in holding positions awaiting canal passage - docked opposite entrance to canal - trip from ship to Gatum Lock. (Well worth seeing from the land, if you are sailing through the canal a good comparison can be made.

Limon - took a cab, fare included jungle river trip, amazing - into the rain forest, and a visit to Del Monte Banana Plantation. one of the best trips we have done.

Acapulco - I have mentioned elswhere in this thread.

If I can be of help, please ask.

Norman

£12 for your malaria tablets. Which ones are you taking? We paid £64 each for us. We were prescribed Malarone.

Not seen the nurse yet have to wait till October. It was on the information board said Malaria tablets £12, didn't give any more information about it. So not sure which brand.
