Lightbulb Pacific Sun - 'Your Choice Dining' introduced

Quote:
P&O Cruises will introduce “Your Choice Dining” on Pacific Sun following the successful debut of the concept on its superliner Pacific Dawn last November.

Your Choice Dining gives passengers the flexibility to choose where, when and with whom they dine throughout their cruise, and will replace the traditional first and second sitting arrangements for evening meals.

The move, which comes into effect from February 14, 2009 (N906), will enable Pacific Sun passengers to choose between five dining venues each evening including the Burgundy dining room, the Bordeaux dining room, the Steakhouse, the Grill and the Pizzeria.

Announcing the change, Ann Sherry, CEO of Carnival Australia which operates P&O Cruises, said Your Choice Dining had been a huge success on P&O Cruises’ first superliner, Pacific Dawn.

“Pacific Dawn passengers love the flexibility of changing their dining times, moving around restaurants and eating with different people each night, so we’re sure Your Choice Dining will be a big hit with Pacific Sun passengers too,” Ms Sherry said.

“Dining is a big part of the cruise experience and with Your Choice Dining passengers can opt for a romantic five-course a-la-carte meal, a steak with friends or a pizza with the family – or whatever appeals to them on the night!”

The 47,000-tonne Pacific Sun sails year round from Brisbane and offers a winter season of cruises from Auckland each year.

Carrying 1950 passengers, its attractions include a huge 35-metre waterslide, two pools, multiple bars and lounges and three kids’ clubs.
