Had me worried there, thought it meant no smoking at all.
 I'm fine with the idea of smoking on outside deck

Well P&O are certainly on the ball. Received a personal letter this morning outlining the changes to the smoking policy. Goodness must cost them some money in postage if they are sending letters to all the passengers booked to go on the three ships named.

It's all to do with healthy living...and more than a few problems with keeping smoke out of non smoking internal areas on Ventura. The Grand class ships (which Ventura is one) have a bad reputation for smoke drift internally...and Ventura has been getting bad reviews, smoke drift being one of the main complaints. I would think they did all three ships to make it look like a health decision rather than admit that Ventura is a bad internal flow design.
