Escaping to the exotic paradise of the South Pacific or the warmth of tropical Queensland has never been easier thanks to new P&O Cruises fly/cruise packages from three Australian cities.
The packages, available from Newcastle, Adelaide and Melbourne, offer return airfares with a relaxing cruise from Sydney or Brisbane, on P&O Cruises’ first superliner Pacific Dawn or the entertainment-packed Pacific Sun.
Fares start at just $1095 per person* twin-share with packages available throughout 2008.
Some of the deals on offer include:
* From Newcastle or Melbourne fly to Brisbane and take a relaxing cruise to tropical Queensland, encompassing Port Douglas, Cairns and the majestic Whitsundays on the entertainment-packed Pacific Sun, starting at just $1095 per person* twin-share. This offer is available on selected cruises throughout 2008.
* From Adelaide, fly to Brisbane for a seven-night cruise along the coast of Tropical Queensland, taking in Port Douglas, Cairns and the breathtaking Whitsundays on Pacific Sun. This offer is available throughout 2008 with the first cruise departing January 19, prices start at $1194 per person in a complete twin-share cabin*.
* From Melbourne, fly to Sydney for a nine-night cruise to the beautiful South Pacific islands of Vanuatu and New Caledonia on Pacific Dawn on April 23 or August 10, 2008. Fares start at $1445 per person in a complete twin-share cabin*
The fly/cruise packages include return airfares from each city, transfers between airport and ship as well as all main meals, entertainment and accommodation during the cruise.
At 47,000 tons, the 1900-passenger Pacific Sun provides endless fun and games with a huge 35-metre waterslide and three kids’ clubs guaranteeing loads of activities for all ages, as well as five restaurants and cafes, multiple bars and lounges and two pools to keep adults entertained.
Carrying up to 2050 passengers, the 77,000-ton Pacific Dawn is the largest ship ever to sail in the P&O Cruises fleet. The dolphin-like prow of the ship is home to a new entertainment area and observation lounge, The Dome, while other features include a three-storey atrium, 9 bars and lounges, five evening dining options, and whirlpool spas, gym and health spa.
* Return economy airfares from Adelaide are on P&O Cruises' nominated carrier and transfers from airport to ship on day of embarkation and disembarkation only. Subject to availability, conditions apply
