I’ve been on 15 cruises, and David has done 10, all with P&O Cruises.
Crests

Our best cruise had to be in 1982, on Canberra, which is where we met. That was our favourite ship because it was friendly, traditional – you had a set table for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which we like – and everyone dressed up. They dress up on Aurora but not to the same level. Things are more relaxed now.

This is my first cruise. I’ve wanted to do a world cruise for years, to see all the places I’ve read about. My two best friends died in 2006 so I decided it was now or never. I took out a loan and here I am. I chose P&O Cruises because it has a good name and I liked the pictures of the ship.
Crests

It’s all been fantastic. The food is out of this world, like being on a five-star floating hotel. And the dancers are wonderful – they put so much effort and enthusiasm into what they do. I couldn’t afford many excursions, but I did a few and the rest of the time I went ashore on my own. There have been a lot of days at sea with nothing to see but I still find it fascinating.

I have done two other cruises, both on P&O Cruises’ Oriana.
Crests

The best was a cruise to the Baltic on Oriana in 2006 with my 15-year-old. The ports were great and I loved Sweden.
