Here is the news you were waiting for

Quote:
SUPERLINER Arcadia will make her debut world voyage as part of P&O Cruises’ new programme for 2009 which goes on sale from September 1.

The 3,000-passenger ship will visit Nagasaki in Japan and Sihanoukville in Cambodia as part of its 101-day itinerary.

Also new to the brochure are maiden calls in East London in South Africa, Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea and Townsville in Australia as part of the Aurora World Cruise.

Off-shore highlights for 2009 include a koala sanctuary in Brisbane, America’s Cup sailing in Auckland and dune buggy safaris in Dubai.

P&O Cruises managing director Nigel Esdale said excursions were on offer for all kinds of traveller, including those looking for adventure.

“We have noticed an emerging market for our world voyages, in people who did not have a gap year earlier in life and now have the inclination to do so, but in a little more comfort and style,” he said.

Cruise prices start from £89 per person per night, based on two sharing on Arcadia’s Grand Voyage. Prices include all main meals, entertainment and facilities.

Early booking incentives include a 45% Pricebreaker discount and double onboard credit for reservations made before November 30, 2007.
