Beautiful tour Jani..thanks for sharing. I agree Birger Jarl is a classic beauty. Help me understand..are most ferrys in this area used as necessary transportation or used for pleasure...and what kind of price range are we talking about? Love your photos !!!

Those Ro-Pax ferrys used for mostly cargo trarnsport, but mostly here those used for these short cruises few hours to three days. Tax Free make lot of money for companies. But naturaly one way passangers with cars make some money for companies too also trailers wirch these big ferrys can carry 50 -70 units. Some of these biggest ferries have 3-10 shops , 3- 10 restaurants and lot of bars lounges etc. And is size of middle size cruiseships 60.000 GT and over 2000 meters taking 2000 - 3000 passangers in cabins.

Prices:

well.. Birger Jarl cruises (22 hours) cost 20 - 50€ different cabins including allways Dinner and Lunch!!

But these ferry cruises cost starting from 10€ /person to 1200€ Silja Suites on three days Helsinki - Stockholm cruises. But those usualy include only cabin , no any meals.

Usualy that 22 hours cruise take money ab. 200 - 300 € even if that cruise itself is cost that 10 €.

Terrific photos Jani - thank you ! And yes it looks like a rather leisurely way to see more of the Baltic. Also have to say, Birger Jarl looks fantastic
