Oceania’s Europe drives reservations record
Quote:
Strong response to its newly announced 2009 Europe season drove a reservations record for Oceania Cruises on Monday, according to the line.
When reservations opened at 8 a.m., more than 500 new bookings were made in the first few hours. At the close of business the line had bested its previous reservations record by more than 20% and said some departures were close to 50% booked.
Oceania president Bob Binder cited limited availability for 2008 departures as making travel agents and Oceania Club members eager for details of the 2009 Europe itineraries. He called the response ‘nothing short of spectacular.’
As detailed here yesterday, the line’s European roster next year includes 56 voyages to Scandinavia and Russia, the British Isles and Norway, the Western Mediterranean and the Greek Isles.
