With the arrival of Ocean Village Two next April, the Carnival UK brand Ocean Village, has unveiled its biggest ever 148 page brochure covering the winter/summer 2006/2007 season.
The new ship will be based out of Palma on alternating weekly West Med itineraries whilst Ocean Village will be deployed in the eastern Med in summer 2007 based out of Heraklion, Crete.
On offer for the frist time are Ocean Village Two's inaugural cruise from Southampton to Palma on April 25, 2007 calling at Gibraltar, Cartagena and Barcelona before arriving in Majorca and Ocean Village's April 2007 transatlantic sailing from Barbados to Crete plus four new UK departure airports - Luton, Cardiff, East Midlands and Bournemouth - are featured for next summer.
The second ship to join the Ocean Village fleet, Ocean Village Two will offer all the signature features of the first ship with the addition of a 14,000 sq ft ocean-view Spa and Fitness complex (the largest afloat relative to the ship's size claims the line) and private balconies on 23% of all cabins.
New Eastern Med sailings for Ocean Village cover Temples and Tavernas sailings from Crete to Dubrovnik, Corfu, Cephalonia, Katakolon (for Olympia) and Athens before returning to Crete. The Olives and Ouzo itinerary visits Limassol, Rhodes, Ephesus in Turkey, Mykonos and Santorini before sailing back to Crete. New 'Stay and Cruise' options in Crete include a choice of three resorts - Stalis, Aghios Nikolaos and Hersonissos - plus a range of six 4-star hotels.
St Vincent has been added as a new Caribbean destination for Ocean Village's winter programme based out of Barbados.
Commenting on the new brochure Peter Shanks, md Ocean Village said, 'having published our 2007 Preview in April, we know we have a real hit on our hands with the new Eastern Mediterranean itineraries out of Crete - demand is wonderfully brisk!'
Available from June 5, the brochure offers savings of up to 45% off as well as a free cover-mounted DVD with preview clips of Ocean Village Two as well overview of the Ocean Village product.

Obviously some of her specifications will change after refit, but it does give an indication of what the ship (which is a twin to Regal Princess) is like.

Stretch, sprawl, spread your stuff out...you've plenty of room to do what you like.
Ours are the largest, best-appointed cabins in their class. Even our standard rooms are a sizeable 188 sq. feet and 66 cabins feature a private balcony. Every room has as standard:
* en suite facilities
* its own dressing area
* TV
* fridge
* tea and coffee making facilities
* hair dryer
* safe
* basic bathroom toiletries
* towels provided for shower-room and subathing
The cabins are graded from AA to NN, with AA the largest, most luxurious and most conveniently located for the ship's facilities. Which cabin you choose depends on the kind of holiday you want. If you want to put your feet up and admire the view from you own private vantage point, go for an outside cabin - perhaps even one with a balcony. If you plan to spend all day pounding the streets and seeing the sights, only returning to sleep or change, then an inside cabin will do nicely.
