temples & tavernas
we are going on a stay & cruise on 19 july on Temples & Tavernas itinery. Can anyone suggest excursions on our own from Dubrovnic, Crete, Corfu, Katakolon & athens. We are 4 "saga louts " in mid to late 50s (2 couples) fit & active but not in the mountain bike & all action class. We dislike the organised trips but like to get about. Not afraid of using local transport. Urgent replies needed as we're going in 3 days.

I am afraid that I have not been to any of the destinations you mention however I am sure someone will come along shortly with a reply. "Saga Louts" have we got something to worry about here. I here you have a worse reputation than lager louts in Europe.

 Dubrovnik there is plenty to see in town, can walk around the walls and lots of museums and shops.

In corfu town there is a huge fort never managed to get Hubby to go round it yet but would love too, the grounds are that big takes long time to get around I gather. Last time we had a ride on a little road train . We took the ships shuttle bus into town.
